My "curriculum vitae":

Born in Vienna in August 1965, I finished regular Grammar School in 1983, started studies in engineering, changing later to economics.

I quit my studies in 1989 and joined the then "Civil Aviation Administration Austria", which later was transformed into "Austro Control Ltd.", being the company responsible for Air Traffic Control.
Today I am working as a training expert in the training academy.

In 1995 I had the luck to turn my interest in aviation into a true dedication, commencing work for the Berlin based German aviation magazine FLiEGERREVUE as a freelance correspondent. Until now this has resulted in over 150 pages of publications, ranging thematically from type stories to outlooks on future aviation projects.

In doing so I strongly rely on my own aviation library and the internet.

My so far most noticeable experiences were:

  1. Visit to CVN-71 "Theodore Roosevelt" in port in Trieste, Italy (1995)

  2. Visit to "Roving Sands 96" air defence exercise, New Mexico, USA (June 1996)

  3. At-sea visit to CVN-71 "Theodore Roosevelt" off the U. S. East Coast (Oct. 1996)

  4. Flight aboard a Panavia Tornado of the German Air Force, Fighter Bomber Wing 34, Memmingen, Germany (March 1997)

  5. Flight aboard a Lockheed F-16D Block 40 "Fighting Falcon" of the 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano AB, Italy (November 1997)

  6. Flight aboard a Boeing KC-135R "Stratotanker" of the 100th Air Refuelling Wing, RAF Mildenhall, GB (March 1999)

Being married since 1992, my wife and me were blessed in 1999 with the most exceptional and lovely daughter one can imagine. Additionally we share our lives with a dog running faster than most, and a cat, whose purr accompanies us into sleep since 1993.
